We use a communicative approach to teaching Italian. Our classes provide an opportunity to develop all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) with a special emphasis on communication in Italian. We offer an autonomous approach to teaching – you choose which language skills you want to improve and to what extent. We work on the basis of modern textbooks and additional authentic materials.

A1 Level

A2 Level

• To ask for directions (how to get from A to B) and understand the answer
• To reach understanding in day-to-day situations
• To talk about who you are, where you live and who your friends are, to express basic needs
• To read and understand letters in a foreign language (orders, short uncomplicated personal letters).

B1 Level

• To understand phrases connected with familiar topics (work, school, rest)
• To reach understanding in the majority of situations that arise during travel abroad
• To describe impressions, events, dreams and aspirations, to express and justify your point of view
• To watch films in the original language, sometimes guessing what is behind the picture
• To read the simplest instructions, brochures, letters, short official documents
• To write coherent messages (essays, letters, instructions) on a familiar or interesting topic

B2 Level

• To understand the idea of a complicated text on a particular topic, to hold a conversation in a foreign language about your professional activity
• To speak about abstract topics in fluent French, to interact with natives with no feeling of tension
• To form clear and detailed phrases
• To express your own opinion on a certain issue, explain advantages and disadvantages of different solutions
• To watch most TV-shows, interviews, talk-shows, live broadcasts in a foreign language
• To write coherent messages (essays, letters) on an unfamiliar topic

C1 Level 

• To understand complicated texts on various topics
• To speak freely and spontaneously, without any difficulty in word selection
• To use the language effectively in a social, scientific and professional spheres
• To understand authentic films containing slang and idioms
• To write clear and well-structured texts on complicated topics
• To have effective correspondence in a foreign language

C2 Level 

• To understand practically everything you hear and read
• To generalize information from different oral and written sources, formulate conclusions and opinions in coherent texts
